Cindy Bloom-Turner, Esthetician & Massage Therapist

Cindy offers facials, waxing services, and makeup application and lessons, as well as a number of massage services, including hot stone massage, pregnancy massage, Indian head massage, and Mehta face massage. She joined Spa in The Valley in 2006 after training at several leading institutes, including the Aveda Institute and the London Center of Indian Champissage in London. Cindy also practices Reiki and reflexology. Both Baltimore magazine and Martha Stewart Weddings have featured Cindy’s work. Her beauty philosophy focuses on a more holistic approach. “We must take what we have and make it feel and look the best it possibly can,” she says.


Crystal Brawner, Esthetician

Trained in Aveda, Eminence and certified by Demalogica, Crystal offers a range of skin care solutions for every client’s needs. She offers facials, waxing and make up application to her clients, with a focus on delivering results that go beyond expectations. “When mind, body and spirit are aligned, we are in balance,” she says. “That’s when our true inner beauty can shine.” Crystal joined the Salon by Debbie Spas team in 2014.


Barbara DeAngelis, Skin Care Manager & Esthetician

Barbara began working with A Salon by Debbie in 2003 at the Spa on The Avenue location and joined the Spa in The Valley team in 2005. She manages the skin care department in addition to providing esthetician services and massage therapy. Barbara loves to exceed her clients’ expectations with her facials, waxing services, makeup application, and massage. She has extensive training in the industry, including eyebrow technique classes with Anastasia Soare in Las Vegas and certification in Eminence Organics, Aveda, Dermalogica, and L’Amourage products. Barbara also specializes in anti-aging techniques as well as lash extensions and received advanced training in NovaLash. She focuses on delivering an all-encompassing beauty experience and working with the person as a whole – mind and body – to bring out the best in their skin and body.


Shannon Howard, Esthetician

After training at the Von Lee International School of Aesthetics, Shannon began her career as an esthetician in 2011. She offers many services, including facials, waxings and spray tans. Caring for her clients and their skin has lead to her aspiration of one day becoming a dermatologist. She also says, “I’m a product junkie at hear and will do anything to help people appreciate their self worth.” Shannon’s goal with every client is to ensure their happiness.


Beth McHugh, Esthetician/Makeup Artist & Manager of Marketing & Social Media

With Spa in The Valley since 2008, Beth offers several treatments to relax and rejuvenate clients, including facials, body treatments, NovaLash Eyelash Extensions, eyebrow threading, waxing services, makeup application, and makeup lessons. “Every person has the inalienable right to look their absolute best every day,” she says. “The time you take to make that happen has long reaching positive effects on yourself and what you offer to others.” Beth trained and received her Eminence Master Class certification with Eminence Organics founder Boldijarre Koronczay.  Beth has also been trained extensively with Dermalogica and Aveda.   Additionally, Beth serves as Manager of Marketing and Social Media for all Salon by Debbie Spa locations. You can also find Beth as she makes appearances on Baltimore’s local television stations during their morning news programs.


Camella Maloney, Esthetician & Nail Technician

Camella offers facials, waxing services, and nail services at Spa in The Valley. Guided by the belief that continuing education is the key to creating an unforgettable spa experience, Camella joined the team in 2011 after earning her Master Esthetics license under industry leader Laura Todd at the Institute of Advanced Medical Esthetics in Virginia. Camella tells her clients the key to good skin care is simple: “A consistent home care regimen along with regular professional treatments will get your skin to a place that you will be truly happy with.”


Jessica L. Marsh, Esthetician & Makeup Artist

Jessica has been with Spa in The Valley since 2008. Facials, waxing services, and body treatments are included in her repertoire, as well as makeup lessons and application. Jessica also specializes in bridal makeup application. Maintaining a well-rounded beauty regimen is key for Jessica. “Take time for yourself,” she says. “Everyone should be comfortable with who they are.”


Diane Simon, Esthetician

Diane has been a Spa in The Valley team member since 2007. She practices both skin care and waxing services for the face and body. In addition to her skin care training, Diane received certification in Swedish massage from the Baltimore School of Massage. Educating clients on the proper products and lifestyles to achieve and maintain beautiful skin is of the utmost importance to Diane—and she isn’t afraid to take on a difficult skin concern “I love to help clients solve skin challenges and then see the rewards the positive results produce both inside and out.”


Kristen Theiss, Esthetician

Kristen is a graduate of the Von Lee School of Aesthetics and has been a member of the Spa in The Valley team since 2014. She offers a full suite of skin care services, as well as face and body waxing. Her role, she believes, is to create an experience that makes clients feel 100 percent relaxed and stress-free. “When my clients feel beautiful on the inside, I really believe it shows on the outside,” she says.


Carly Walter, Esthetician & Nail Technician

Carly joined the Spa in The Valley team in 2009. Carly offers facials, body treatments, and waxing services. She is an Eminence Master Technician and received her training under Eminence Organics founder, Boldijarre Koronczay. Carly also offers manicures and pedicures, and says she loves to see her clients walk out the door with boosted self-esteem. “I want to create a memorable experience that makes every client feel special and beautiful,” she says. “Educating clients on proper skin care gives them the ability to enhance their natural beauty.”
