Amy Anderson, Nail Technician
Amy offers multiple nail services to cater to each client’s vision, including natural manicures and pedicures, extended-wear polish enhancements and acrylic services (gel, liquid, or powder). Prior to joining the Spa in 2005, Amy traveled the East Coast training other nail technicians in the most innovative concepts. The keys to a great spa experience, she says, are relaxation, great products, and superior knowledge of the service. “I strive to give clients a relaxing and enjoyable experience,” says Amy, “and of course always a good laugh!”
Zhanna Brodovsky, Nail Technician
A practicing nail technician since 1991, Zhanna is highly experienced in the art of nail care. Before joining Spa in The Valley in 2009, she built a reputation as a sought-after technician at salons like Nail Bar and Creative Nails and Hair. Zhanna’s goal for every client appointment is simple: “I want to make people beautiful,” she says.
LaSendle Burgess, Nail Technician
LaSendle has been with Spa in The Valley since 2005. LaSendle offers both manicures and pedicures, and is a licensed cosmetologist. Going beyond client expectations with her service and results is LaSendle’s guiding philosophy. And what is her favorite part of the beauty industry? “Turning a beauty challenge into a work of art,” she says.
Elena Maeva, Nail Technician
Elena has offering manicures and pedicures at Spa in The Valley since 2007. She enjoys building relationships with her regular clientele and says that making clients feel uplifted and rejuvenated is crucial to creating an enjoyable experience. “Everyone needs to relax and enjoy ‘me’ time,” she says.
Camella Maloney, Esthetician & Nail Technician
Camella offers facials, waxing services, and nail services at Spa in The Valley. Guided by the belief that continuing education is the key to creating an unforgettable spa experience, Camella joined the team in 2011 after earning her Master Esthetics license under industry leader Laura Todd at the Institute of Advanced Medical Esthetics in Virginia. Camella tells her clients the key to good skin care is simple: “A consistent home care regimen along with regular professional treatments will get your skin to a place that you will be truly happy with.”
Beth McHugh, Nail Technician & Esthetician/Makeup Artist, Novalash Eyelash Extensionist
Beth has been with Salon by Debbie Spas for more than 5 years, and has worked at all three Spa locations. Beth received her initial training at Robert Paul School of Cosmetology and further continues her education by attending trade shows and participating in on-site education offered consistently. She specializes in facials, facial/body waxing, eyebrow shaping, makeup application, makeup lessons, and natural nail services. “I waited a long time to finally have the opportunity to perform a job that I feel I was born to do. I love the beauty industry and working with clients at all levels is incredibly gratifying.”
Laura Marsh, Nail Technician & Silver Hair Designer
Laura has been a member of the Salon by Debbie Spa team since 2013. A multi-talented stylist, she offers a broad range of hair design services, including cuts, color treatments, perms, and express blowouts, as well as complete nail care services. She is a graduate of Carroll County Career and Technology Center. “I believe that getting regular Spa treatments raises your self-esteem,” says Laura. “Making people feel happy and better about themselves is my favorite part of the job.”
Lini Sherburne, Nail Technician
Lini started her career as a nail technician as an apprentice under Amy Anderson at Spa in the Valley about two years ago. She has taken classes from CND for Shellac in basic gel manicures, art and design, as well as additives. Lini is a perfectionist so she will never let any of her clients leave until her nails are perfect! She loves that her job involves a great deal of creativity and custom design. Lini offers her advice that, “Nails are a fashion accessory. Use your manicure to add some fun to your look- a little flitter or a hand full of cheetah, it’s never too much!”
Natalia Timofejeva-Thomas, Nail Technician
Natalia joined the Spa in The Valley team in 2008. Natalia offers natural manicures, pedicures, and Shellac services. She received her training at the Maryland Beauty Academy. Reflexology massage is Natalia’s favorite part of the job. She loves to create a relaxing environment for clients and see them leave feeling refreshed and at ease.
Carly Walter, Esthetician & Nail Technician
Carly joined the Spa in The Valley team in 2009. Carly offers facials, body treatments, and waxing services. She is an Eminence Master Technician and received her training under Eminence Organics founder, Boldijarre Koronczay. Carly also offers manicures and pedicures, and says she loves to see her clients walk out the door with boosted self-esteem. “I want to create a memorable experience that makes every client feel special and beautiful,” she says. “Educating clients on proper skin care gives them the ability to enhance their natural beauty.”
